Friendship Peak is more than just a beautiful view from the top. With a height of 5289 metres, it is part of the Pir Panjal range, the largest of the Lesser Himalayas. Apart from humbly standing its ground in the midst of the 6000ers, we are especially impressed by the trek's trail, which takes us through the most breathtaking scenery. In 34 kilometres, we pass through alpine meadows, dense forests, and wide clearings, as well as crossings over icy cold mountain streams and, of course, a thick bed of shimmering white snow. Friendship Peak is well-known in some influential circles as a launching pad for hardcore mountaineering. Friendship Peak, nestled comfortably between the two major ranges of Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar, serves as an amphitheatre for the tallest mountains in both ranges. With a bird's eye view of Manali from the col and the mountain ranges of Lahaul from its peak, Friendship Peak faces Hanuman Tibba on one side and giants such as Indrasan, Deo Tibba, Priyadarshani, and the Seven Sisters as neighbours, to name a few.
