Beas Kund Trek

Haven't glaciers always piqued your interest? Don't you secretly wish to see the magnificent source of a glistening river? Isn't it thrilling to be able to walk around the glacier?

Vyas Kund (Beas Kund) was named after the sage Beas (Beas River in Hindi). According to legend, the holy sage used to bathe and meditate along this river, which he regarded as extremely sacred. But it is the unimaginable natural beauty that surrounds the river and its source that is most shocking. Imagine walking through lush green grasslands and meadows in the foothills of Manali's three highest peaks.

The breathtaking glacier is undoubtedly the highlight of Beas Kund trek , but the stunning landscape of vast open fields awash in pure greenish meadows is another pleasant surprise. Several narrow lanes of the Beas Kund river (also known as the river Beas) slicing through the fields, adding a gleaming touch.

The trail begins with huge boulders and rocks that are difficult to navigate; you will sometimes have to balance on a single rock to make your way through the trail. However, as you progress along the trail, the landscape gradually transforms into a pleasant field brimming with vibrant plants and shimmering meadows.

Only after crossing the Beas river can you reach a thick oak and pine forest. You'll arrive at the Dhundhi campsite after passing through them. Dhundhi is also a wide clearing in the middle of the valley, surrounded by grasslands. Nothing beats camping in the middle of the meadows and being completely immersed in nature.

The landscape's grandeur is so overwhelming that you feel like an ant in the realm of natural beasts. Dhundhi, on the other hand, gives the first wave of surprise and pleasure at the same time. The Beas Kund river trek is perfect in nature because it takes no more than four days to trek to such an out of this world experience. You can spend a wonderful day in Manali and then go on a trek to Beas Kund.

When you trek from Dhundhi to the befuddling source of the Beas river - the glacier - you will have the most amazing experience of your life. Please be aware that the journey from Dhundhi to the river's source is both challenging and adventurous. You'll pass through open barren fields and rugged terrain on your way there.

The region of the trek where you will have to walk over boulders and big rocks is exciting but also delicate. The majority of the ice goes under the rocks as it spreads and retracts over time, making the region unstable. Many hikers have dubbed the area a 120-hour movie set, because if you step on the wrong stone, you may become trapped in a similar fashion to the movie.
