Rohtang Pass Trek | Excursion | Height | Manali | Altitude
Rohtang Pass, at an elevation of 13,050 feet, is a high mountain pass on the eastern extremity of the Pir Panjal range of mountains. It connects the Kullu Valley with the Himachal Pradesh valleys of Lahaul and Spiti. After the deaths of those working in terrible weather who attempted to traverse the pass, the pass was given the name "Rohtang La."
The trek begins in Manali's main market, crossing the Beas River on a one-way bridge and following the river in the other direction. During the voyage, you can hire winter jumpsuits, gum boots, gloves, and other items from local passing businesses. While returning at the Gulaba checkpoint, you can enjoy some delicious food, which will be necessary given how weary you will be from playing in the snow.
