Har Ki Doon Trek Best Time

Har Ki Doon Trek Best Time

This journey could take up to eight months to accomplish. From March to June, the highlands offer beautiful spring and summer weather. This is the most popular timeframe, and it is thought to be the best time to trek Har Ki Doon. During the monsoon season, the route is temporarily closed, but it reopens from September to December. Each of the four seasons — spring, summer, fall, and early winter – has its own unique and beautiful environment to offer hikers.

Travelers will be astounded to see the valleys turn green from rocky brown in the early spring. Thanks to a variety of wildflowers, this multicoloured glade blossoms right before their eyes. This region grows lush green throughout the summer due to the early monsoon's light rainfall. The clear skies provide the ideal natural light for photography, adding to the energising atmosphere.

In September, the green grasses begin to turn brown, giving way to a distinct autumnal cold in the air. The skies are clear after the monsoon rains, but there are fewer trekkers on this trail. As a result, autumn is the greatest time to visit the Har Ki Doon climb because it is less busy.

The trail is transformed into a lovely snowy glade in the winter. The first snowfall has fallen by mid-December, and the hikers are suffering sub-zero temperatures. However, if you travel after mid-December, the snowfall grows more intense, making the rest of the climb beyond Kalathiyadhar impossible to accomplish.
