Kuari Pass Height

The Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, at an elevation of 4265 metres above sea level, is close to Kuari Pass. In Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, Kuari Pass is a renowned trekking site.

The Kuari Pass journey in the Garhwal Himalaya is one of the most popular treks in the Indian Himalayan region, with thousands of trekkers each year. The road to Kuari Pass was crossed by Lord Curzon in 1905, and the Kuari Pass journey is today known as the 'Lord Curzon Trail.' The trail winds through thick alpine woods of oak and conifer, Rhododendron and birch, and is home to a diverse range of animals and birds, including leopard pugmarks and Himalayan black bears.

The ascent to Kuari Pass is so entwined with all facets of adventure, including frequent and steep ascents and descents, narrow and hazardous paths, and rushing streams. Furthermore, the journey is well worth the effort, as seen by the stunning silver horizon that runs parallel to the brilliant blue sky.

The trail offers views of the Trishul at 7,120 metres, Kedarnath at 6,968 metres, Kamet's granite pyramid at 7,756 metres, Neelkanth at 6,596 metres, Gauri Parbat and Hathi Parbat, Badrinath, the icy crest of Dunagiri, Rishikot, Changabang at 6,864 metres, and the legendary twin peaks of Nanda Devi at 7,740 metres.
