Trekking and Camping in Mcleodganj

Trekking and Camping in Mcleodganj

In the last several weeks, I've written several articles regarding how to go to Dharamshala and Mcleodganj, as well as where to stay and what to see. In this essay, I'll continue in the same order as the last one by discussing camping and trekking in Mcleodganj and Dharamshala. This entire region is one of the most popular trekking locations in the world, and one of the key reasons for this, in my opinion, is the variety of treks available. I'm not just talking about the well-known Triund Trek; there are several more that appeal to a wide range of trekkers, from total novices to seasoned and expert hikers. If you want a whole itinerary that includes trekking and camping, Mcleodganj and Dharamshala are the places to go.
The Himalayan Dhauladhar range, which you will be trekking from Mcleodganj, flanks both of these gorgeous cities. The mountains of Dhauladhar range in elevation from 3,500 metres to 6,000 metres. Hanuman Tibba, at an elevation of roughly 5,982 metres, is the highest peak in the range. There are several other peaks that are near to 5,180 metres, both virgin and scaled (17,000 feet). Don't be scared, though. I'm not claiming that a hike from Mcleodganj to 17,000 feet will get you there. No, there are lots of easier ones that can be completed in only a few hours. In the next post, I'll attempt to provide some valuable information on some of the more popular trek routes between Dharamshala and Mcleodganj.
