Why Hampta Pass Trek not possible in January?

The Hampta Pass Trek is not recommended in January because it will be covered in deep snow. The valley becomes snow-covered, narrowing the trail and making the ascent even steeper. This adventurous trek can be dangerous due to the drop in temperature during the winter months. Temperatures in January can range from 5°C to 22°C, with chilly days and even colder nights. Crossing the Hampta pass becomes nearly impossible due to the icy snow and harsh, unpredictable weather. The roads from across the pass are closed due to heavy snowstorms and cloudy skies.

In January, Hampta Pass is not a good idea and should not be attempted. The Hampta Pass trek is best done in mid-June, after the monsoon.
