Chadar Trek Place
Chadar Trek Place
Depart McLeod Ganj after an early breakfast and climb through a mixed forest of oak, rhododendron, and deodar trees. This is the most popular day hike. The trail is well-marked all the way to Triund. It takes about 3/4 hour to climb from McLeod Ganj to Triund due to the steep terrain. There are a few little tea shops along the path that can provide great refreshments. Triund is a flat ridge alpine meadow with views of the Dhauladhar hills on one side and the Kangra valley on the other. After a quick lunch in Triund, start descending to McLeod Ganj.
