Kedarkantha Trek 2021
The Kedarkantha journey's attraction is enhanced by the legend that surrounds it. The town's name is derived from "Kedar Khand," which means "Lord Shiva's Section." This is the historical name for the area. Kedarkantha is the precise translation of Lord Shiva's Throat. Before moving to Kedarnath, Lord Shiva is reported to have meditated in Kedarkantha.
According to Hindu folklore, Juda Ka Talab receives its name from the water drops that fell from Lord Shiva's hair. As the name implies, a lake (Talab) was formed when water from Lord Shiva's bun (Juda) reached the earth.
The Godly peak of Swargarohini, one of the trek's highlights, is supposed to be the ladder to paradise. This hallowed peak is where Yudhishitra and his dog are fabled to have risen to heaven.
