Sandakphu Trek The Himalayas
Sandakphu is every trekker's fantasy. At a height of 11,929 feet, it is located in Darjeeling district, to the north west of Darjeeling hill town (3,636 metres). This is the highest peak in the Singalila range as well as the highest mountain in West Bengal, India. The Singalila range is followed the entire way to Sandakphu. When travelling in the Himalaya, the best views are unavoidable from high above, but the descent down this ridge, which passes through little villages, is arguably one of the most scenically rewarding in the Himalaya.
This climb is ideal for novices due to its tea-house style, but it is also a must-see for experienced hikers. The Kanchendzongha range, Makalu, Everest, Lhotse, Jannu, Chamlang, Baruntse, and a slew of other Nepal Himalayan peaks, as well as the Kanchendzongha range, Makalu, Everest, Lhotse, Jannu, Chamlang, Baruntse, and a slew of other Sikkim Himalayan peaks, may all be seen in one stretch. For everyone, the famous "Sleeping Buddha" peak formation is a sight to behold.
One of India's most serene treks is Sandakphu, a mesmerising journey that climbs to West Bengal's highest point, at 3936 metres.
