Triund Night Sky

Triund Night Sky

Any time of year is a good time to visit Triund. It is always safe, and the views of the night sky from Triund's summit are spectacular. For making this voyage so delightful for me, Riding Solo deserves a particular thank you. Weekends should be avoided.

Triund is Dharamshala's crown treasure. At Mcleodganj, Riding Solo and I began our trek. After that, we grabbed a cab to the Gallu temple. For me, a crowded Sumo was a new sensation. It was a hurry, and a 7-kilometer trip in a cab took 2 hours. The chaos was short-lived, however, as we began our tour with guide Vikas and marvelled at Kangra Valley's grandeur.

After packing and having Maggi at a cafe, we went to the summit, where we camped for the night. I was up all night gazing at the stars before falling asleep at 3 a.m. We began our descent the next day early in the morning in order to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. The fresh morning air energised and enthused me, even though I was a little fatigued from sleeping late the night before.
