Sandakphu January

Sandakphu's typical January temperature is between minus 5 and 6 degrees Celsius. Only experienced hikers plan to go during this time because it is one of the coldest months in the region. Sandakphu is one of the few Himalayan hikes that is accessible all year.

It's a walk that can be done at any time of year, with vistas that change with the seasons. Rhododendrons, for example, can be found all along the trail in the autumn. The best time to visit is between October and December, when there is a 90% chance that the sky will be clear and travellers will be able to see all of the peaks.
